      My reply-

      Hi Deepak

      Thanks 4 ur encouraging words

Dude i do’t have precise figure about SC Applicants and Success rate

But i can assure you that you can conquer the battle with little less efforts than a general candidate

I mean cut-off for general category always remains 15-20 marks more than cut-off for SC category

This can give you an advantage over other candidates but you have to be best among SC category

All the best to you Deepak

      Thanks and Keep visiting us

      Deepak’s next query-

      VIkas,

So just trying to calculate my odds.

Anyways thanks again and good luck..

      Best Regards,
      Deepak

      My reply-

All the Best to you Deepak

    plz reply soon!!

    • Hi Aakriti

If you are from science background, this subject can do wonders 4 u

Subject is performing very well since last 5 years

Quality study material as well as coaching is also available 4 this subject

Just consider ur interest in science before opting Psychology b’coz its nothing but science of mind & human behaviour

    Hello Sir

I m planning to write civils

and i want to take maths as optional

can u plz suggest about pros and cons–?????

I came to know that due to scaling very less number qualify through it

can u provide me with any statistics u have–??

    Thanks in advance

  9. Mahesh

But Sir, i was informed in some website that maths can be scoring to engineering graduates

Can u plz clear my doubt sir..???

    • Of-Course Math is a scoring subject if you are crystal clear about basics

Actually Math falls under science subjects category and more suitable 4 Engineering background students (Reason why math can be scoring 4 Engg Graduates)

If you are fond of maths & have interest in subject go 4 it (No Prob)

Just have a glimpse at math’s syllabus and opt 4 it, if u feel u are familiar with concepts and can do better in maths rather than other subjects

  10. Abhijeet

    Sir,

I would like to know if history and sociology would be a best bet at cse..??

or i should take electrical engineering which is my background…??

    • @ Abhi

      It depends upon ur interest..!!!

Ask urself do I love to read about Social Science or Physical Science..????

Subjects are not best bet..!!! Its ur interest choosed subjects

  11. Abhisek

Thanks for putting up such an insightful blog…!!!

I would like to know the pros and cons of taking Economics paper as optional

Also , tell me if studying arts or commerce will be a good option than studying engineering or medical..???

  12. May i plz know what is the cut off of medical science prelims….???????????

    • Hi Aprajita

You can assume it somewhere between 80-85 as there is less scope 4 subjectivity in subjects of Medical Science and Doctor’s memory generally observed sound when it comes to lengthy terms of biology & allied fields (i mean they are full of facts). So 80-85 is reasonable here which further depends upon several other factors like nature of question paper in a particular year and number of aspirants opted 4 same subject etc

  13. Thank u so much sir but how is it related to no of candidates, like if very few candidates apply..???

  14. Udit Singh
